The awkward part of a first booking is almost never the evening. It is the twenty minutes beforehand, when you are not sure what to write, how much to say, or whether you are about to be quoted a number three times what you expected. So rather than a walkthrough, here are the questions we actually get asked, answered the way we would answer them in a message.
What Do I Put in the First Message?
Four things: the date, roughly where you are staying, how long you want, and what the evening is. That is enough for us to reply usefully. "Friday, hotel on Playa d'en Bossa, three hours from about ten, dinner then back to the room" gets a straight answer in one exchange.
You do not need to describe a type, and you do not need to explain yourself. If you have a preference — a language, someone who is comfortable at a club table rather than a quiet dinner — say it plainly. Nobody at this end is easily surprised.
Why Does My Address Change the Answer?
Because this island is bigger than it looks. It is around 45 kilometres end to end and the north can be an hour from the airport, so an address is a travel time before it is anything else. A booking in Ibiza Town, Talamanca or on the Playa d'en Bossa strip can often be arranged the same afternoon. A finca above Sant Joan needs more notice and a plan for both directions, because there are no taxis idling on a dirt track at two in the morning.
Give us the area even if you would rather not give the exact address until the booking is confirmed. That is normal.
What Time Should I Start?
Later than you think. Dinner here is at ten, restaurant kitchens run to midnight, and the clubs do not fill until one and close at six. A three-hour booking starting at eight in the evening will be finished before the night has begun.
If the plan is dinner and then somewhere afterwards, start at nine at the earliest and budget five hours or more. If the plan involves a club, the honest answer is that you want an overnight booking rather than a long evening one. For a first time, most people are better off with a straightforward dinner and the girlfriend-experience format, which has no schedule to perform against.
How Does the Money Work?
Rates are quoted in full before you confirm, and they do not change afterwards. Expect a deposit at the point of booking and the balance in cash at the start, which is the standard arrangement across the island and avoids any conversation about it later. Travel time to the north or to a villa is agreed up front rather than added at the end.

What Happens at the Hotel Door?
Very little. She arrives through the main entrance looking like any other guest, gives your name at reception if asked, and comes up. The Two Mistakes Almost Everyone Makes
Booking too short, and planning too much. Two hours is enough time to be nervous and not enough to relax. And an evening with a beach club, a dinner reservation and a club in it is a schedule, not a date — pick one of the three.
