Send the flight number and expected landing window. We track delays and move the car; short delays do not need a panicked renegotiation over WhatsApp while you are still on the jet bridge. IBZ is small — arrivals are not a private lounge — so the meet is calm and ordinary: travel partners, not a scene at baggage claim with a signboard.

Two meet patterns work. One: she is in arrivals and you walk out together. Two: you clear the airport alone, check in, and she meets you at the hotel — useful after long-haul when you want a shower before company. Say which you want when you book so nobody is waiting in the wrong place.

Playa d'en Bossa suits a fast start — music already on in season, hotels used to late check-ins, short hop from the terminal. Ibiza Town and Talamanca are the easiest bases for dinner the same night without burning the afternoon in a car. Santa Eulària and Sant Antoni are longer; Sant Joan, Sant Miquel or Portinatx need an honest hour and a driver who knows the lanes after dark.

If day one is a boat from Marina Botafoch, landing at noon cannot feed a 10:00 boarding. We will say so and rebuild rather than pretend the timetable works.

Straight to the hotel, a late lunch if you landed early, or a first dinner if you landed into the evening. Island dinner hours still apply — 22:00 is normal — so an afternoon arrival leaves room for a proper table at Casa Maca, Sa Punta or your hotel; a 21:00 landing may mean in-suite food rather than fighting for a terrace.

From late spring openings through early autumn closings, IBZ is busy and companions’ diaries fill. Give at least a day’s notice in shoulder months and more in August, especially if you want a specific person waiting.
