The Ibiza Yacht Day Guide — Costs, Routes, and What to Expect

A yacht day in Ibiza remains the single best way to experience the island. The water is calm in most of the summer, the surrounding bays are stunning, and the entire day naturally rotates around the people you bring with you.

What a Yacht Day Costs in 2026

Prices have settled after two seasons of volatility. As of 2026:

  • RIB day charter (8-12 people, 35-40 knots): €1,800-2,500 for 8 hours
  • Mid-size motor yacht (8-12 people, 15-22m): €4,500-9,000 per day
  • Luxury motor yacht (10-16m guests, 24-30m): €12,000-25,000 per day
  • Superyacht charter (30m+): €30,000+ per day, typically with multi-day minimum

Food, drink, and fuel are usually charged on top. Crew gratuity (10-15%) is expected on motor yachts.

The Standard Ibiza Yacht Route

Most successful days follow one of two routes:

The Es Vedrà & Formentera day — leave Marina Botafoch or Talamanca around 10:00, cruise the southwest coast past Es Vedrà, anchor for an early swim off Espalmador (the protected lagoon-style anchorage by Formentera), lunch on board, afternoon at a southern bay like Cala Jondal or Ses Salines, sunset cocktails on deck, back by 19:00.

The southern coast day — slower pace, stops at Cala Jondal for Blue Marlin Ibiza lunch, then Cala Jondal for the afternoon, optional swim at Cala Comte, back via the windmills for sunset.

For more on the southern beach scene, see our Cala Jondal area guide and Cala Comte area guide.

What to Bring

Ibiza boats are well-equipped — towels, sun cream, music, basic drinks are standard. You bring: swimwear, a layer for the cooler ride back, sunglasses, and your phone. Anything specific (specific wines, dietary requirements) the charter company handles with notice.

Booking the Right Boat for Your Group

Our yacht rental service helps match group size and budget to the right charter. For escort bookings on the water, our yacht day escorts service covers the format in detail.

Yacht Day with Companions — The Format That Actually Works

The single best yacht day format we coordinate is: 2-4 guests, one or two companions, a mid-size motor yacht with a private chef on board, full-day route. The space is genuinely social rather than performative, the energy stays warm without being rowdy, and the day flows from morning swim to sunset without any pressure. See our yacht escorts guide for the booking flow.
